Rhett's Rocks, Minerals & Metalworks

My name is Timothy J Sprengelmeyer. Rhett's Rocks is named after my son Rhett who was born in 2024. Having my first child in my 40s inspired me to go after my dreams in opening up a rock and mineral store. I wanted to lead by example to show my son that he can do whatever he wants to do in life.

I've always had a love and appreciation for rocks and minerals. In my adult life, the passion was brought back to life through my metal artwork creations. In the mid 2010s, I started integrating stone and crystals into some of my creations. I found that one of the best places to source materials is down in Tucson, Arizona at the big gem show they have down there.

Since Tucson is a long journey from the Midwest, I started to bring additional materials back to resell in addition to the materials I sourced for my artistic endeavors. Having a child inspired me to go all in on this journey. It was really scary to quit my job and the reliability and steady paycheck that comes with that. It's one of the best decisions I've ever made. When you do what you love, you never work a day in your life
